Daphne Search and Rescue
Daphne Search and Rescue maintains a diverse range of capabilities, ensuring we can respond effectively to a variety of emergencies. Our fleet includes three vessels: the “Impact,” a 28-foot Scully boat equipped with advanced sonar technology and a hydraulic gantry system for efficient underwater searches; and two additional support craft that provide critical assistance during large-scale operations or in areas with limited access. We maintain heavy-duty vehicles to ensure we can arrive safely in remote locations.
Our team is comprised of highly skilled volunteers with specialized training in various disciplines. We have advanced divers proficient in the most challenging underwater search and recovery operations, as well as experts in underwater technology, marine navigation, and public safety. This diverse expertise allows us to adapt to a wide range of scenarios and provide the appropriate level of response.
Further enhancing our capabilities is our side-scanning sonar technology, a powerful tool that creates detailed images of the underwater environment. This technology is invaluable in locating submerged objects, such as vehicles or missing persons, and aids in efficient search and recovery efforts. By combining cutting-edge technology with the expertise of our dedicated volunteers, Daphne Search and Rescue remains prepared to answer the call and bring hope to those in need.
